Rock and Roll!!! Today marks our 7th day of the passage and we've covered about 1000 miles. Yesterday another sailboat was sighted behind us but we were unable to contact them via radio. Conditions have changed considerably and we now have 20-25K winds from behind, swells 12-15 feet and things have become very rolly. Our salt grinder fell and broke leaving glass all over the cockpit (we think and hope it's all cleaned up). our beer spilled and, while sitting aft during my watch I was doused by a big wave over the side. At least it was and excuse to take a fresh water shower! Not too much wildlife: birds flying around out of nowhere, a few squid and fish landing on the deck. Tomorrow is another day and hopefully the swells will calm down bit but we may be looking at these conditions til we get to the doldrums - after a few more days of this and we'll actually look forward to flat seas and no wind!

Bonjour a tous !
