Best dressed helmswoman this side of the equator
25 February 2012 | Miami, FL
Randy - 80, winds N 10-20 kts, overcast late
Nobody dresses the part better than Nikki. She is setting the fashionista high bar and loving it. Certainly improves the scenery on board!
Nikki arrived on schedule last night at 2100. Reunions like this are always so sweet. As I've said many times, being on the boat without her is always a bit hollow. We talked today about how it feels like we were just here the other day. We've already settled into a familiar routine and having lots of fun. I can tell you the culinary side of things have improved about 1000%!
Strong N winds as a cold front approaches. We are anchored in a good spot for the night. Expecting possible T-storms, but we'll be OK. Hoping to head for John Pennekamp State Park where there is some very good snorkeling sites. We'll need the seas to calm some for that to work out. If not, we'll keep going and try to catch them on the return trip north (east). We have totally given up on the idea of heading for the Bahamas but hoping for a chance to get out to the Dry Tortugas, west of Key West.
