Watch for shallow areas!

breezy, 80's, 15-20 knots E/SE
Wednesday. approx.

The day started badly and rainy, but after an hour or so the sun came out and stayed out for the day.
What a terrific motorsail. Most of the day we were making at least 6+ knots and we saw 8.5 knots several times. It was glorious and exciting. It was a jib/staysail day along with the engine.
We got to Daytona and anchored after the last high rise bridge. One boat already there and several more arrived after us. Not a ton of room, but enough. Boat moved around and ended up with the anchor line running underneath with the tide change...should have just put out the chain and a small amount of line....that way the boat would have swung and not caught on the line. We had forgotten this lesson from when we owned the Orion.
