STILL SWIMMING IN THE SEA- NOT BAD FOR OCTOBER IN EUROPE. CHILLY NIGHTS

Sat 1 – Carloforte SADRINA 39 08.61N 8 18.48E morning walk of town, lovely - commenced 200 mile passage to MENORCA – BALERICS ISLANDS – SPAIN
Sun 2 – good passage – 125% genoa made all the difference in the light winds & Hydrovane Henry got a go too!
Mon 3- arrived right on 1st light into Mahon ISLAND MENORCA –anchor Cala Teulera 39 25N 4 18E
Tue 4 – Mahon- anchor off town – lunch, internet, day in town – NW gale warning – must head south
Wed 5 – great day sail to ISLAND OF MALLORCA – anchor Pto de Costa de los Pinos – 39 38N 3 24.6E
Thur 6 – day sail to Porto Petro – lovely - last visited here in summer 2001
Fri 7 – sail and storm – ran for cover at Pto de Campos - gale
Sat 8 – Pto de Campos - gale
Sun 9 – day sail to Pto de s’Estanyol
– a bit of a sail to Magaluf –anchor off town
Tue 11 – bus into Palma for day- extensive marina and repair facilities – lovely town – lots of walking
Wed 12 – moved across bay to Palma Nova - public holiday – Lidl food shopping
Thur 13 -Las Illetas – love anchorage and walk through local area – 39 31.9N 2 35.4E
Fri 14 - PalmaNova- little Club Nautic very handy for dingy, water and shopping -wind picked up - evening off Puerto Portals – with the sea lion!
Sat 15 - Las Illetas – Dillon, Christie and poppy for lunch
Sun 16 – back to Palmanova 39 31.5N 2 32.6E Lidl again – watched rugby world cup, Nz v oz – nz won . night passage to IBIZA
Mon 17 – arrived San Antonio ISLAND OF IBIZA by 11am, to same anchorage we were in 10 years ago – few hours sleep with off again by 5.30pm – night sail to Santa Pola –SPAIN MAINLAND 38 11N 0 33W
Tue 18 – actually sailed back into Western Hemisphere today – arrived off Santa Pola onto fuel dock just as fishing fleet - 20 large fast boats returned. Anchor off Santa Pola marina.
Wed 19 – 7.30am start – short days now - 60 miles arrived in dark to anchor inside harbour – 15 miles sail – to Cartagena 37 35N 0 59W Visited by Customs 8pm, and at midnight Guardia told us to move! Pulled alongside noisy marina dock till 7am – left in the dark.
Thur 20- overnight sail
Fri 21 – arrived 7am- at 1st light to Almerimar Marina. 9am office opened and we were allocated a place. Successful day arranging repairs and getting the lay of the land. Good repair facilities, not so great showers & toilets, good supermarket and local bars & internet café.
Until Mon 31 – Darsena 2 – Number 183 ALMERIMARA Marina. Still really lovely warm sunny days – cooler at night. – Clocks now on winter time.
