From the Wine Run at Grand Anse to a new anchorage at Frigate Island.
We leave Prickly Bay and head for Carriacou, stopping overnight at a new spot just outside the entrance to the Carenage at St Georges, and just off Grand Anse. From here, we have a birds-eye view of the beautiful Carenage, with it's myriad of colourful buildings, and variety of Churches most of which now have a new roof after Hurricanes Ivan & Lenny visited ! We are also close to the cruise ship terminal and admire these huge ships from close quarters, how do they stay afloat when they look like an apartment block ?? Our reason for anchoring here is that we can dinghy ashore and visit a very good supermarket that is offering a nice Chilean wine at an even nicer price, so we do a wine run ! The following day we head up to Frigate Island on Carriacou, a deserted new anchorage for us, and a welcome lunch stop and snorkel before heading back to PSV and the Grenadines.
