Lady Liv takes part in her first Regatta .
Following Bob crewing aboard Trillium Wind in 2009 during the Easter Regatta, we had decided to enter Lady Liv in the 2010 Regatta, and so, with a crew of Bob, M, Sue & John (Makayabella), and Adrian (Oceans Dream) we set off on the three days racing to Friendship Bay, round the island and round the cans. Plagued by very light winds, nearly all of the boats struggled to get going, and although we did our very best, we were forced to retire on the second day as we were almost going backwards ! Although Lady Liv is not a racing boat, she does move very well in winds of over 10-12 knots, but despite the sterling efforts of our very capable crew, the many antics with "poling out the genoa" and trying to eke out as much speed as we could, it just wasn't enough! However, we did get the much coveted Mount Gay Regatta redcaps for our efforts, and the after race parties were awesome !..
