Tropical waves 93L& 94L pass over us ...
The weather is definitely changing,and it worsens at this time of year when a tropical wave passes close by. We have just had two in close succession, named by the Hurricane Centre in Florida, as 93L & 94L. We saw on the weather today, that 93L is a bit more organised .. and has now turned from a Tropical wave, to a tropical depression and finally into Tropical Storm Alex, the first of the 2010 Hurricane season. Alex is now battering Central America, Belize & the Yucatan Peninsula, threatenng to turn into a hurricane when it approaches the coast of Texas in a few days time. Scary stuff. The squalls just roll on through when a wave is close by, and as you can see from the photos, they are very distinctive, often bringing thunder & lightning.
