Our first European guests of the Season arrived with us, having braved 40 knots of wind on the Osprey Ferry up from Grenada to Carriacou. Austrians, Rita & Heinz, were complete novice sailors, having never been on a sail boat before - oh dear ! The unsettled weather and big swell conditions of January were continuing into February and we wondered how our new guests would cope ! We needed not to worry - once our new guests were settled onboard Lady Liv, we set off across the boisterous passage between Carriacou and Union Island, where we had big seas and 35 knots of wind .. Rita & Heinz loved it, whooping every time Lady Liv surfed along a big wave, and we sighed with relief ! Although they were only with us for four days, we shared some wonderful snorkelling in Chatham Bay followed by a 'Lady Liv Sundowner Cruise' in the dinghy - accompanied by a large flagon of rum punch and some nibbles, celebrating not only the end of a wonderful day, but also Heinz's birthday. Other highlights of their short trip with us - feeding three stingrays off the back of the yacht at night in the Tobago Cays, and hand feeding the fish on our favourite coral head .. more rum punches and a beautiful sunset on Happy Island. Rita & Heinz left us for the next stage of their journey in Bequia.
