We had good wind for the 38 mile trip south to Prickly Bay where our guest would leave us ... the sailing was good, the fishing line was out, the brown boobies were all around us .... then - bang !! Off went the line at a rate of knots, the rod bent double (well almost..) and Bob reached for his fishing 'appliance' and the bottle of Sunset rum. Between Bob & Jane the largest fish that Bob had ever caught was safely landed on the yacht. The Kingfish was about a metre long and would have provided a lot of dinners .. however, face with the prospect of filleting, cleaning the fish, then cleaning the boat, Bob opted for the easy approach - give it to a local restaurant in Prickly Bay, for which the reward was a lovely dinner with wine for the Captain & Crew !!
