11 May 2011 | Marigot Bay, St Lucia.
With the departure of Jennifer & David, we picked up our Greek/Cypriot friend Michael, who needed some TLC and sailing in the beautiful Caribbean waters to perk him up. We sailed up to Rodney Bay where we explored Fort Rodney on Pigeon Island together, and from there headed back down south to our more familiar sailing ground - the Grenadines.... Michael was actively involved with sailing, snorkelling, oyster eating (that's another story), cooking, washing up - a true friend !! Our journey southwards took us via Cumberland Bay, St Vincent, one of our favourite stops, where we enjoyed (but not participated in) local Karaoke with some of our favourite line-handlers (the guys that tie you backwards to a palm tree !)... that would be, Joseph the Rasta, Brother, etc.... This all happened at a bar/restaurant called Mojitos, where we can fully recommend ... the Mojito cocktails. After two of these, you are willing to sing, dance, and make a complete fool of yourself - great fun !! Continuing south, we snorkelled the Bat Cave at Petit Byahaut, where the mix of fresh and saltwater makes an interesting shimmering pattern in the water, and gives you a cold bath from the waist up...
