After dropping our German guests off in Marigot Bay, we spent a quiet night on a mooring quite close to the shore - Bob & M relaxed in the cockpit with a well-earned sundowner, listening to the sounds of the Caribbean - no, not Calypso or Soca, but the gentle sounds of cicadas ... and something else too, a chaka-chaka sound that we hadn't heard before. When we awoke the following morning, we discovered that we had been 'visited' in the night ! By at least one fruit bat - as the half eaten bananas on the table proved, and the bat guano ... all over the floor, up the walls, on the doors, on the window where one had probably been hanging upside down !!! Note to self - next time you hear the sound, close all doors and windows at night, or, at least hide the bananas !!!
