Wardwick Wells
02 March 2009 | Exuma Bahamas
Dawn
Left Nassau Monday, Feb23 crossing the Bahama Banks to Highborne Cay for a couple of nights. We then moved south to Normans Cay. This cay is famous for drug lord ruins, buildings, airstrip and ditched plane in the bay. Now there is McDuffs. A great rustic resturant. First you enter a porch area then inside you are greeted by five dogs who bark a lot then return to their own bed or chair. Did I mention it was $40 for two cheese burgers, one order of fries and lemonaid? Ouch. They were so good we went back the
next night!
Water is clear, clear. The boat looks like it is suspended in air. We are finding a lot of friends on the VHF radio stations as this is the communication most used here.
This week we are in Wardwick Wells Exuma Land & Sea Park, snorkeling the islands all around the mooring field. Strong current twice a day that makes for a good ride.
