A month in Opua
20 April 2010 | Bay of Islands
We have not updated our blog for over a month, so trying to catch up. Will post brief accounts on the trips we have done since being here in separate entries.
Currently we are still working hard on the boat - it never ends! Michael is doing electrical projects to fit our new wind generator and solar panels now that the stainless arch is up. Jackie is cleaning out the forward lockers and sorting fuel cans. All exciting stuff.
We went for a good Indonesian meal across the bay at Russell last night, meeting up with the folks from Destiny and Ivory Quays who have just arrived from Gulf Harbour. They are heading up with us and a number of other boats to Fiji. We are all keen to get going now, especially as it is getting quite cold at nights.
The frozen meat arrives on Friday and we take the motor caravan down to be sold on Tuesday - will be very sad to see it go.
