A quieter day

When ever we set off it's a bit like starting from scratch. You have to re-remember all sorts of things that you haven't done for a while - does that rope go over or under. Trivial in one way but crucial for the boat to work properly. Yesterday was a bit of a test but today things have settled down well. The wind is a pleasant 20 knots, a bit too much on our stern, but you can't have everything. The seas are still a bit big but settling down again. Perhaps tomorrow it will be a day for the spinnaker. Thursday certainly looks like it.
We got the fishing lines out today with modest success - one skipjack so small that we threw it back, and one massive beast that the reel which is quite big couldn't handle at all. The monster eventually snapped the line taking the lure and all its bits. So maybe better luck tomorrow.
We returned to gourmet cooking so things are getting better with a Moroccan lamb tagine sprinkled with almonds and flavoured with the rescued preserved lemons. Mmm
