Leaving Vanuatu

We finally left Aore the little island resort off Luganville today. The usual starting problems occurred. Most notably one of our toilets decided this was the right moment to block. Hours of fun with acid, bits of metal will now ensue, followed by more than likely the final solution - replace the pipe. Not a pleasant job.
The winds have been gentle, and off our stern. So we have had to use a motor most of the time. Even now that we have a gennaker flying which is quite a large sail we are still only doing 5 knots. Still what's the hurry! We had the gennaker up yesterday for a bit. Until it decided that it would wrap the furling lines round the furler. The only solution was to bring it down. Always happens when you fancy a cup of tea.
Anyway all is well, and we are hoping to make a pit stop at a small reef called the Chesterfield reefs, in about 3 days, prior to the final push to OZ
