Bay of Fires

The East coast is the more accessible coast of Tasmania. We headed into St Helens and found a proper fish warehouse, tanks full of oysters, mostly destined for Sidney apparently. We decided to cope with the cost and buy one. (most things in Oz are about 30- 50% more epensive than UK). Wow, perfectly cooked fresh lobster. We are now parked, wild camping on a remote beach listening to the sound of surf waves crashing below us. The sea is a beautilful milky sort of blue, grey, green colour. the rocks have a covering of red algae which gives the bay its name.
