Approaching Tonga

We have had a glorious day sailing today. We put the spinnaker up and headed in the direction of Tonga. We made good speed all day and finally put the spinnaker down at about 4pm. That was because we wanted to slow the boat down to pick up a fish. Unfortunately by the time we had slowed down we lost the fish and our best lure. We did catch another mahi mahi about half an hour later. It put up an enormous fight changing colours through green, blue and yellow but we eventually subdued it. However, the fishes were to have the last laugh as another large mahi mahi struck on my old fishing rod. The reel was not working well and Brennan was struggling to bring the fish in when just as we were about to land it the line snapped and the rod whacked back on him giving him a small cut and bruise. No great harm done but a victory for the fish I guess.
We are hoping to be at Duff Reef by daybreak, an interesting name. This is a reef just off the capital island of Tongatapu, our destination so we should be at anchor, all being well around midday.
