Three weeks ago has been my last day in the office and it already seems like ages. The last few days I have spent in Sicily on board our sailing boat to start the preparation for the cruising season. It was cold and windy, hence my motivation to do some work outside was pretty low, but inside was (and is) plenty to do. Whenever one job is finished, two or three other projects pop up.
Now I am sitting in a bar in Ragusa, sipping at my cappuccino and waiting for the bus to Catania. Tomorrow I will fly back to Germany and one week later to China. Mid of April we will be back on the boat for good. If time and weather permit, we will sail to Malta for a few days and end of May to Turkey for cruising during the summer months. September we will head into the Western Mediterranean, through the Strait of Gibraltar and possibly explore Morocco in November. December will see us in the Canary Islands preparing for crossing the Atlantic in January 2015. This is the plan so far, but nothing is carved in stone.
