Inverter

15 October 2014 | Agios Nikolais
Thomas
The inverter has mainly 2 functions: charging the batteries while we are either on shore power or running the generator and producing AC power from the batteries, when neither shore power nor generator is available.
The old inverter eventually died in August and I purchased a new one in Germany. After our arrival it was my first big job to install it. Fortunately it fits into the place of the old one. We have a big boat, but fitting equipment in, is always a challenge. Including servicing the batteries, I was busy for almost the complete day, but now we have full electrical power on board again.
