Aboard La Sirena

There are rain squalls in the forecast for the next two days...not conducive to travel. Rather than spend more time at Green Island, we have sailed west, toward our check-in station at Porvenir. Most of the islands of San Blas have Kuna names and the small one behind which we have taken refuge for the next couple of days is called Ukupsui...no idea what that means. Conditions here are ideal and the sun is shining brightly. The reefs offshore allow for a relatively calm sea at our anchorage yet we still enjoy a fresh breeze. That helps us generate electricity from our wind turbines. Our water maker, which converts salt water to to fresh water for drinking and washing, has its own significant thirst for electrical power. Mary will be doing some hand washing during the next hour while I tidy up the boat after this morning's sail. Looking forward to a relaxing afternoon to do whatever moves us.
