Second Chances and Brave Endings

We left the rain behind in Deshaies - except for a feisty squall that popped the top two slugs on our main. All patched up yesterday. So, the sun shone in the enchanted islands called Les Saintes. An idyll of lush green vegetation, picture perfect red roofed houses, French style and Creole charm. [...]

Good Friday, Shame about Thursday

Hello

12 August 2008
Hi!!
It's Io here, and it's a wonderful sweltering steam bath on board L'Aventura who's on the hard.
We have been working so hard! Mama and Daddy more so but me and Keir are working.
We went on a turtle watch 3 weeks ago. We saw one leather back andd it was HUGE!!
We were told that it was a small one, I was upset by the way all the tourists were treating it, they were stroking it and lying right next to hee head whilst taking white flash photos!
Me and Daddy sat at the sidelines watching her dig the hole and lay her eggs.
She was beautiful. I touched her flipper and it felt like marble.
We have met a really nice boat called Adamo, with Mike( the dad), Sue( the mama) and Phillip(the son).
We have lots of fun with them they are really nice people, they are down to earth and don't go for the whole 'Pot Luck' thing.
just for people who don't know, don't worry I didn't know either, a 'Pot Luck' is where lots of people get to gether each brinig one dish and everyone shares food.
There is a bunch of stray dogs living here at Peakes yard.
One of them is black and has a boble on his nose so he looks as if he has two noses, we have nicknamed him doubleznez, and there is one with an undershot jaw who we have called Mr.Grimm( Mr.Grimm is a girl).
They are all really sweet, we feed them leftover food.
Love Io. x x x.
