Second Chances and Brave Endings
We left the rain behind in Deshaies - except for a feisty squall that popped the top two slugs on our main. All patched up yesterday. So, the sun shone in the enchanted islands called Les Saintes. So - this is gonna be a bestseller - 1 entry every year!
Anyways - I'm just working out how to use this site... so the guys can takeover whilst I get back to my normal routine of fixing and maintaining the boat.
Io and Keir are gonna be the authors - hopefully. Can't promise anything because I'm not going to make this a ship rule.... however, if they enjoy telling you where we are and what we are doing, they will become worthy correspondents.
At the mo I'm sitting in the Bar de la Mar in Marigot. I heartily recommend both it and it's Mojitos. Sue is sitting across from me and is painting the waiters. Art is life... life is Art, etc.
Sun has set. Light is fading. fairy lights are twinkling. Crayfish are sitting in the tank awaiting their doom.
Sue and I are are skivving... it's my night to cook and Sue's to wash up. So back to the boat in a mo.
Sue has been watching Marigot artist Sir Roland Richardson at work. A superb and enlightened spirit who is a genuine artist (a rare beast).
And I've been refueling and preparing for a jump to St Kitts only to find the forecast has changed... (never ever, ever make a plan... the wind gods will confound it). So we'll be here for a few days yet and then back to Antigua and on to our favourite Caribbean hideaway.
