Lunch on the wild windswept north coast

As predicted, the Meltemi arrives with a bang! The boat rocks and rolls all night even in the shelter of the harbour. We hear that the morning ferry to Marmari has been cancelled because of the weather and the afternoon one is uncertain. It's starting to rain - not the best conditions to welcome guests who are coming out for a bit of autumn sunshine! They finally arrive about 5pm, the ferry made the crossing, but embarkation in Rafina had been a pretty tricky operation.
We've hired a car for the next day and enjoy exploring the southern part of the island - although it seems more 'Cornwall' than 'Greece'!
