A Current Affair
31 August 2016 | 80 Miles East of Newcastle
As with most affairs this current one is on again off again. It all started under sunny blue skies and balmy breezes and with an unbelievable surge approaching joy. 21/2 knots! Now it doesn't seem so important any more but then just to repeat the name " East Australian Current " unfolded a bright untroubled future.But. What if it is too close to the Solitary Islands? Should I be wary of ships that pass in the night? Is it all too good to be true? With these lingering doubts L'Eau Commotion found herself putting distance from the what might have been to the solitude of the deep blue sea. And as all who have travelled that troubled sea of life ( it's now gusting 35 knots ) would know swapping joy for safety is no trade at all, so once more we close the rocks and shoals to find the elusive stream. Or any wise Predict Wind says "Head South West to find current " so who am I to argue .
