First the Good News
31 December 1969 | 36 Miles SouthEast of Port Davey
The good news is that a vast stretch of Tasmanian SW coast revealed itself with a slight change of atmospherics. Of course I have been keeping an eye out for this landfall since dawn. It's always a welcome sight after two weeks at sea, but especially so with my diminished resources.
The bad news is that a Gale Warning has been issued about the time of arrival tonight near the Maatsuyker Group with winds backing from NE to West, so in preparation I am about to partake of my much missed afternoon nap to prepare for what could be an unpleasant night.
