27 September 2017 | 350 Miles South of Madagascar
9:30 pm Wednesday 27th September 2017 ( UTC+3 ) After a pleasant and reasonably fast night played around with the sails and had a nice run through the day as the wind eased around to the North. Around midday the hazy sky descended to an enveloping sea fog with visibility under a quarter of a mile but even as the wind eased so did the sea so good time was made. This area over the Madagascar ridge has a bit of a reputation so with winds expected to freshen to around 28 knots in the early hours of the morning we are all snugged down for the night with corresponding reduction in speed. Anything for a quiet life.
