Taking Stock

5:00pm Sunday 19th November 2017 ( UTC-2 ) Now that I am heading for home it is my custom in such circumstances to take stock of the situation in regard to the ships stores. The basics, such as coffee cocoa and Scotch Fingers, are all there I'm pleased to say. What I did find rather disconcerting was the fact that I kept discovering more and more tins of dried egg powder, some in the most unusual of places. A mystery indeed as when I tallied up the numbers I found that I had more than I started with - it was like Big Bird had snuck out from behind the flat screen and posited little yellow canisters hither and yon. Recipes, anyone? A very light quartering breeze all day was the ideal weather for repacking and listing the provisions but not very productive of mileage. The great thing though was that we never stopped and each mile travelled was one closer to home.
