Merry Christmas
24 December 2017 | 1888 Miles to Cape Horn
6:00pm Sunday 24th December 2017 ( UTC-3 ) Just a short note to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. We are making good time directly on track for The Horn in a fresh to strong breeze from the North which is expected to change abruptly to gale force from the South East with very rough seas some time later this evening. Accordingly the jib is furled away almost to nothing and a double reef in the main, and with any luck we should be able continue on a close reach on a Starboard tack with good speed; however I am not really looking forward to those necessary sail changes in the middle of the night, especially if this heavy rain continues.
