Just the Facts
31 December 2017 | 1175 Miles to Cape Horn
6:00pm Monday 31st December 2017 ( UTC-3 ) No I'm definitely NOT complaining about the weather just telling it as it is. The wind swung from the sort of South West to the sort of South East creating a mild sort of chop which greatly hinders progress and with the varying strength made it difficult to pick the right amount of reefing in the jib and main. The good thing it is summer and the really wild weather that can lurk around these parts is quiescent. The progress is a little slower than hoped for but still very much as expected and the forecasts show that there will be lots of similar variable weather for the next fortnight. With that I wish you all the best for the New Year.
