Temptations
06 February 2018 | 420 Miles SSW Cape Horn
3:00pm Tuesday 6th February 2018 ( UTC-5 ) With the wind forecast and I guess actual hovering between 25 and 35 knots, all from the North West it has been tempting to put out just a little more jib. But why tempt fate when being more or less hove to - making 1.7 knots 220T - shows little stress on the mast in the quite big but rather benign seas. Accordingly the plan is to dawdle along and wait till good things come to me which all programs show will happen tomorrow morning with easing of the wind and South West by Wednesday evening. Keeping well fed and warm with plenty of bunk time, emerging occasionally to write up the log, look around, make up a brew and a bickie and back to bed.
