17 June 2018 | 320 Miles NNE Robinson Crusoe
8:00pm Sunday 17th June 2018 ( UTC-5 )
The temptation of course is to alter course to the West and head for home but against this is the likelihood of finding myself in the middle of a settling high. The plan then is to carry on this course to the NNE till morning and if all the ducks line up try a direct tail wind on a course of NNW for two or three days. The prophets say I should get a nice run through 20S 80W and then whoosh straight through to Tahiti. They have been known to err on the side of optimism to gullible travellers such as myself. A very pleasant day with the wind on the Starboard quarter and mostly going at over 5 knots with little puffs and little lulls. Treat of the day - roasted salted peanuts.
