The very light but constant ESE breeze made for a relaxing but slow dayâs sail with the average speed just on 4 1/2 knots. It is hoped the forecast is correct in that we should miss being becalmed and fresher conditions expected over the next few days. Even though the speed was down a little the almost flat seas made for a pleasant day with just enough wind to to stop any jarring in the rigging or sails and steady enough in direction allowing the WindPilot to keep us pretty well on course. Lots of sunshine with the little white clouds dotted about the sky gave a comfortable 24C in the cabin. A critter from the deep had a bit of a gnaw at my plastic squid but found it not to his liking so tonight it was Sausages And Beans In Tomato Sauce. Rather bland sounding but consumed with relish.
