I’ve just about given up picking my way through these blue holes and now will try to point L’Eau Commotion in the right direction and let nature take its course. Even so that is not that easy as with the light fluky winds if you try to run downwind with the breeze less than 20 degrees off the stern a little lull will force a gybe with an ugly Thwapp! and much groaning from the preventer and the skipper. I was surprised to see that I am 70 miles closer to home than last night as much of the time we hardly seemed to be moving at all. On a brighter note congratulations John and Adam for a first and second placing on day 2 of the World Gliding Championships. No wonder I used to wonder which way they went whenever we met up on course in a competition back in Oz.
