The breeze gradually strengthened so that around 2:00am it became essential to put the second reef in the main and all last night this small sail area was almost too much. The wind forecast at 25 knots plus swung around to the West and we have been close hauled all this time. To alleviate some of the bumps the WindPilot was set to steer the boat close to the wind so speed had been well down till evening when the course was opened up a little. We are now going a little faster but still with the odd crash and thump. As regards fouling of the hull it is not obvious and somehow or other I have lost the urge to jump over the side. Funny that. I will have to ask Jason if he has put any anti fouling on Katherine Ann. Just from looking at it in the water fouling was not evident and I used the same pant - International Micron 66 - that is on LâEau Commotion.
