Thanks Martin. We became becalmed last night and at some stage the wind restarted and I was vaguely aware that the slatting had stopped so was happy for the bit of quiet and hadnât noticed we were going the wrong way. About an hour ago just before dawn I rectified this error and retrimmed the sails to be hard on a light headwind, had a cup of coffee and was checking the weather when I got your message, so in this case I had fixed my slack seamanship just before your reminder. With obstructions in my path such as Norfolk Island itâs nice to know there is at least one person keeping an eye on the course!
