It was nice to be making miles right on track for home and though the speed has dropped off a little I am assured that this is only temporary and a steady nightâs sailing is in the offing. As to how I feel after coming so far and such a short distance from home the answer is not much. Little jobs around the boat are being neglected such as a domestic light here, a pump there and so on but nothing to the detriment of sound navigation. I know I should be cleaning up some of the accumulated mould and generally sprucing things up but I just canât get myself going. I am being terribly conscious of keeping safe which goes against the grain but I would feel such a fool if LâEau Commotion arrived back at Southport before I did. Nothing in particular but just feeling rather flat. I opened my last ration pack but even then the little goodies didnât seem to lift the mood. Maybe I need a change of scene.
