Finish Line
08 September 2018 | 82 Miles Bearing 105 degrees True from Gold Coast Seaway
1:00am Sunday 9th September 2018 ( UTC+10 )
Shirley, the finish line is the transit between the outer light on the North Mole and the outer light on the South Mole of the Gold Coast Seaway, the position on the transect of the lead lights being 27 56.042âS, 153 25.933âE . Itâs 1:00am now and the indications are that the trough is passing through with the wind backing and a pretty active cell producing lots of lightning not far off. Somewhat reluctantly I will have to gear up soon and head over on to a Starboard tack but if I wait for a few more minutes the squall might ease a little.
