Is A Sailors Delight. Yup it's the real Deal, the same Island I passed just to the North of some 2 years ago and much the same days out of Brisbane, although with so many calm periods this time it seemed longer. Though it's not an exclusion zone around the Bass Strait oil fields it is an avoidance zone and hence the tack South last night. The winds have been very light all last night and today and there seems to have been about a one knot East going current so whereas the speed has been low the enjoyment factor has been high. There are quite a few fishing vessels around and as they don't carry AIS I'll keep this short and enjoy the night in a blissful breeze from the Northwest.
