05 July 2019 | 125 Miles West of Cervantes West Australia
Day 28 8pm Friday 5th July 2019 ( UTC+8 )
With the fairly big swell and strong winds it was easy enough to run Nor'Nor'West during most of the day then more to North West as the wind and seas eased. The approaching high is about to settle on us sometime tomorrow which will be a good opportunity to try to fix the Windpilot and see if we can get a wind read out on the instruments but after that the big question will be to head North or West in the variable forecast. Whichever way the thing I am determined to do ( now anyway ) is to head far enough North to be assured of some steady trades. I have pencilled in on the charts Rodriguez Mauritius and Reunion for a bit of sightseeing, all close to 20 degrees South latitude.
