Day 29 8pm Saturday 6th July 2019 ( UTC+7 )
The windpilot was fixed and a little glitch tidied up which should make it smoother. While I was doing this I set the wheel with a few ropes and pulleys using 150lb nylon line as a bungee cord which could be a useful addition to self steering in case of subsequent system failure. Very light airs from the South quarter made for a gentle sail at times but right now we are becalmed; the prospects for the next week are looking good however and I must make sure I don't sleep through any advantageous breezes tonight. We are well out of any shipping lanes as nothing has appeared on AIS or radar enhancer which is good out to 30 miles in these calm conditions but all systems are on high squark alert. Altogether a very pleasant and satisfying day tidying up little things in the warm and sunny airs.
