Sirius, The Dog
15 July 2019
Day 38 6:20pm Monday 15th July 2019 ( UTC+6 )
And this is what the dog gets fed up with. No wonder he has the urge to break out now and again. In other news I checked out my stores and discovered water had seeped in to some of the flour through a rather poorly designed lid on the plastic jars. I had to jettison the contents of two of them but by judicious scraping off the top I have saved most of the contents of three other 1kg jars. As a test to see if anything harmful had developed , and not having a taster as does Katherine Ann, I made up a batch of pancakes for lunch and SFSG. Tracking down the source of this water in the locker I discovered a broken plastic fitting on the hot water cylinder so have now cut out and bypassed all the superfluous plumbing, which means I will not in the foreseeable future be able to take a long luxurious hot shower. I ran the desalinator all day from 6am to 5pm and between the solar panel and the Watt & Sea the voltage was kept well up running the autopilot and instruments as well. And the sailing? Absolutely perfect.
