Day 54 Wednesday 31st July 2019 ( UTC +3 )
A little bit of indecision had us going this way and that until 10am this morning when the BiSymmetric was set but the pace has gradually increased since then with the breeze firming to the North East. A splendid day with no cloud and the absence of any markedly large swell had us helped along by a current of up to a knot on occasion. The BiSymmetric and full main make for a remarkably stable and steady ride. I even unrolled the storm staysail though its appearance is more for show than go. A strategically placed dab of solder in the innards of the galley fresh water pump was celebrated with a protein smoothie - egg powder, milk powder and cocoa powder. A powderfull combination with that aqua vitae. Tasted better than it sounds.
