The light to moderate wind has been from the stern quarter for most of the day. Because it has varied a little in direction running sails were not set up instead using the full main and jib and steering away from the desired course between ten and thirty degrees to keep the sails full and stop unwanted flopping around. With lots of calm areas well to the North and solid Westerlies to the South we are in a sort of no mans land with variable and unpredictable winds but I think we are in about the right place heading towards Port Elizabeth.
