Though a little undersailed we carried the double reefed jib and storm staysail through the night with the expectation of a fresh South West change in the dark hours of the early morning. As it was this did not come through till daylight and the change in tack was just completed when it arrived. This combination with the Windpilot is still working well and the temptation to loosen another reef in the main is dampened each time I poke my head outside the Meerkat Mansion. Perhaps I will do this just before hot cocoa time. The final drying of the washing is being carried out in situ - jeans and a jumper for the first time in many weeks as the temperature slips below twenty.
