Doldrums

From early morning a few light showers gave the opportunity to do some washing but trying to go anywhere was pointless with the very light breeze constantly changing direction. At one stage we were going fast enough to spin the Watt & Sea but I am now certain it is kaput. Some distance made in the morning but only six miles covered since noon. It was stuffy and hot in the cabin but the sun was too strong to stay outside and only just now a slightly breeze is giving some relief.
