If you can't stand maudlin ramblings. For those who just want the bare facts they are as follows- all of last night and all of this morning were spent under cloying clouds with an almost constant drizzle and wind varying from not much to useless. After lunch a promising SSE turned to a direct headwind and the large amount of Sargassum weed confirmed the predicted Equatorial Counter Current, again right on the nose at 3/4 to 1 1/2 knots. My suggestion of Lorenzito was not taken up but instead the more prosaic T.D. 15 was placed East of the Cape Verde Islands with insufficient gusto to suck up this sludge surrounding me. Had enough? Same here!
