Lolling Around

Day 134 6pm Saturday 19th October 2019 ( UTC-2 )
Even though I kept a good eye on trim and direction L'Eau Commotion sailed herself on a steady course due South in the lightest air possible making one to one and a half knots all through the night. Another beautiful rosy dawn with towering Cu's and little showers, the light downdrafts from which I milked for all they were worth but most of the day was spent idly lolling around on an oily flat sea. A month or so ago my 240 volt 150 watt pure sine wave packed it in cutting down the charging options for the iPad and iPhones. I checked out the Li -ion engine starter and was pleased to see it had the correct cable to charge these, that it was still fully charged and the bonus being it can be boosted off 14 volts which is available off a running engine or solar panel. Handy to know. All the forecasts show I should be enjoying a gentle East to South East breeze but the oily flat calm continues.
