Few miles were made last night and the only way to keep going was to engage the autopilot once daylight arrived as the very light wind from dead astern wasn't strong enough to move the wind vane. Fortunately there has been brilliant sunshine all day to liven up the batteries and hopefully we will be able to engage the windpilot soon as from the two knots in the morning and three knots in the afternoon we are now chuckling along at four to five. After a huge feed of fish at a late lunch yesterday I was wondering if I could face any more but my enthusiasm returned at lunch time today. Even though slow the sailing conditions are superb with a flat bright blue sea. To give you an idea of our latitude we are right on the parallel of Port Macquarie NSW.
