I was wondering what I was thinking to bring me to an area so devoid of useful wind that I looked up what I was thinking when I did just this two years ago. At this latitude I was thinking about the so called Science of Climate Change and now I am thinking about the so called Sciences of Theoretical Physics and Cosmology.
It is interesting that just as some of the Ancient Greek thinkers proposal that evolution of species could occur was long rejected by Western thought as it went against the strict interpretation of the Bible we have whole branches of modern science namely theoretical physics and cosmology whose sole foundation is the strict interpretation of that same Bible. The parallels are startling, only the timing has changed. From a great void of darkness inhabited by a particle so small that it would be totally invisible to any microscope in a great flash of blinding light the whole of the earth and the heavens above were created not in six long days but in a time frame so immeasurably short that it could not be measured by the finest stopwatch. And just as the Biblical world is due to end with the second coming so is ours due to the depletion of hydrogen as it transforms itself into helium, the stars collapse into Black Holes and once more darkness rules supreme. It is beyond the comprehension of these small minds that inhabit even smaller departments of our otherwise great Universities that the Universe is limitless in size, has always been there and will continue doing just that.
