Day 158 5pm Tuesday 12th November 2019 ( UTC-3 )
With strong gale to storm force winds predicted for these parts tomorrow I thought it best to prepare by putting a second reef in the main. There are dark menacing clouds on the Southern horizon but the clincher was the appearance of my wee feathered friends the Wilson's Storm Petrel. When you can see them enjoying themselves you know you are not. Despite the gloomy outlook most of the day was spent running before a pleasant North Easterly with lots of sunshine to run the desalinator for five hours as well as the autopilot whose duties have now been transferred back to the windpilot.
